I know, really late notice, but Unity Reggae Band is playing for the first time (and maybe the last for a long time) in DC since I've been in the band. We're playing TOMORROW at the Red and Black on H St. NE. I think we play at 10 and it's 21+.
You can check out website http://www.unityreggaeband.com for more info. Just go to "shows" and click on "the red and the black" to go to their website.
See you there!

What's up? It's a Saturday night, I'm pretty bored, and it's gotten to the point where I would like to go out every night but I have to think about gas. I have about three weeks with no gigs but I really don't expect money from any gigs in the past couple months any time soon anyway. I'm teaching two lessons this week but that's definitely not enough. Just so you know, I accept food as payment as well! I got a call for a gig at the National Museum of the American Indian but I haven't gotten a call back yet, maybe Monday. I guess I'll use the time I have to practice, and hope that someday it will pay off. I just need to make sure I have some money in my back account until then...
Oh yeah, Hometown Throwdown Dec. 29th! I can't wait until then, and part of it is getting away from here.

So before I list all the upcoming shows, I should let everyone know that apparently there is a "KYY reunion" on June 14th. However, from what I have been told, it is more FPB (Flying Puppy Brigade) playing a crack rock steady set, with the KYY reuniting to play one song. I'll keep you updated. ALSO, this Friday, Beltway Alarms is playing two shows with new horn players! One is at a party in Olney, and the other is at the Sidebar in Baltimore. So I hope to see everyone at some point!
Here's my latest list of shows, not including the ones I'm playing:

Good afternoon, everyone. I'm at work again, about to start working on my leftover chinese food from Seven Seas I believe. You motha fuckas need to come out to shit! I mean come on, you missed Chick Corea and Gary Burton last night! You can come on Tuesday to the Reggae Sweatshop, or the jam sessions Wednesday and Thursday at HR-57, or Pat Methany on Friday (too expensive...), or URB at Seacrets in Ocean City on Saturday (can't fuckin' wait)!
Well anyway, if you want drum lessons, let me know. I think I'm going to quit this job soon and start giving lessons pretty regularly. That's about it in my life. How about yours? I'll read about it while I finish my orange chicken.

Hello. I'm at work, working hard. I've been practicing and playing music a lot, and will continue to do so. School starts on Tuesday but it won't slow me down. There's a Beltway Alarms show on the 31st in Annandale, and we should hopefully have our DEMO (it's in caps because we've never had a decent demo before)! Also, Unity Reggae Band is having a lot of shows coming up during the summer, including one in Ocean City this upcoming Saturday! Check http://www.unityreggaeband.com and http://www.myspace.com/beltwayalarms for all the information! Alright... back to work.
Oh yeah and check out my podcast at http://www.thewalrus.podomatic.com.
Oh yeah, and hopefully there will be a Beltway Alarms/Reese Witherspoon Disaster split sometime in the near future. Sheeeet.
